Welcome to the Community Strategy for the Winchester District. It sets out the most important changes needed over the next 20 years to help our communities become more sustainable. We are aiming to improve the quality of life for everyone - but in a way that leaves a good legacy for future generations.
Our vision for the Winchester District is of diverse and dynamic communities, where people work together to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life now and in the future.
To help us deliver this vision, this Community Strategy is split down into five key outcomes which we want to achieve for everyone in the Winchester District. These outcomes then draw out priority areas where people think action is needed most urgently.
These five outcomes are:
