Why have a Community Strategy?
In a time when public money is getting increasingly tight, its more important than ever that public and voluntary services work together to make the most of scarce resources and make the most impact for our residents. The Community Strategy sets out a framework for organisations in the Winchester District to co-ordinate their the projects and services they deliver and make sure they are addressing the main issues for the District's residents.
The Community Strategy sets out the thorny issues we are facing as a District; the sort of issues which need to be addressed by more than one organisation - for example anti-social behaviour, childhood obsesity or climate change. Organisations and individuals who are part of the Winchester District Strategic Partnership then use the Community Strategy as a guide to what services and projects they should deliver in the Winchester District.
