Terms of Reference
The Executive Group keeps a regular overview of the Sustainable Community Strategy and its delivery. The broad aim of the Executive Group is to steer the work programme of the WDSP and act as the ‘clearing house’ for the majority of the process issues that it has to deal with. They play an important part in ensuring that the Groups do not become silos, and that links are being made between them. They also provide a ‘voice’ for the WDSP on a day to day basis.
Membership of the Executive Group
The Executive Group will be made up of six partners who also sit on the WDSP’s Outcome Groups and delivery partnerships. This membership will be reviewed annually. Partners can nominate themselves to sit on the Executive Group and this will be agreed at the annual conference.
Role of the Executive Group
The role of the Executive group is to:
- Receive national guidance and regional strategies and policies (e.g. Regional Economic Strategy, South East Plan etc) and set in context for Winchester District (with reference to others where required)
- Monitor indicators identified by Outcome Groups as problem/worrying indicators
- Take decisions/actions where necessary to resolve issues identified by Outcome Groups in the course of their workKeep overview of the LAA process, the WDSP’s contribution to the delivery of the LAA in the Winchester District, and governance issues.
- Feed back to the rest of the WDSP members.
- Endorse funding bids to the Hampshire County Council Community Strategy budget, with the Chair being empowered to sign off bids up to £2,500 where bids are in line with Winchester District Community Strategy objectives.
