So who are the groups that make up the WDSP?
WDSP Annual Conference
The WDSP Annual Conference will meet once a year and bring together everyone involved in the WDSP and the Community Strategy to:
- network,
- share good practice and ideas, and
- make sure the Community Strategy is still up to date, reflecting the main issues that need to be dealt with.
WDSP Executive Group
The Executive Group is a small group of senior partners involved in the wider WDSP who meet to support partners and to make sure that the delivery of our Community Strategy is on track.
The five Outcome Groups
There are five Groups - one of each of the five Community Strategy outcomes. It is the job of these five Groups to:
- make sure that projects and services are delivered that will contribute towards their particular priority areas for action
- involve the right partners who can make a difference to people's lives within those areas, and
- offer support to those partners
Partnerships linked to the WDSP
The WDSP is also made up of various partnerships who are interested in delivering their particular section of the Community Strategy. The main partnerships involved in this are:
- Children and Young People Partnership
- Older Persons' Partnership
- Sports and Physical Activity Alliance
- Housing Board
- Community Safety Partnership
- Natural Environment Forum
- Winchester Community Learning Forum
- Transport Forum
However - this list is non-exhaustive, and there are a large number of groups who feed into these partnerships and play an important role in delivering the Community Strategy.
