Consultations
The Community Safety Partnership consults with local communities in a variety of ways throughout the year.
The following list is an example of the different ways the Winchester Community Safety Partnership undertakes consultation:
• District wide audits of crime & disorder
• Focus groups
• An annual Community Safety themed conference
• Citizen Panel
• Targeted letters
Under the exisiting legislation the Community Safety Partnership goes out to Audit every three years to pull together local people's experiences and perception of crime within the Winchester district.
The result of this consultation produces a three year Strategy that sets out the proposed aims and objectives for the forthcoming three years. Please note: A review of the Crime & Disorder Act took place between 2005/06. As a result of this the Community Safety Partnership will now conduct mini audits on an annual basis and will be asked to review any target priorities at six monthly intervals.
