Partnership Photo 2013

Every district council has a duty under the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 to establish a partnership with the Police, Fire & Rescue Service, County Council and health.

Partnership working is important because fighting crime is not just a matter for the Police, it is also about the environment, housing, licensing and how we co-operate with volunteers in our local communities.

Each Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is required to produce an annual Strategic Assessment. This assessment is used to identify issues effecting public safety in Winchester. To learn more about the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 please refer to the section on Statutory Duty.

WDSP Community Strategy

The Winchester District Strategic Partnership (WDSP) have identified three overarching outcomes for the Winchester District: Active Communities, a Prosperous Economy and a High Quality Environment. Winchester Community Safety Partnership (WCSP) will be making a contribution to all of the overarching outcomes but will take a specific role in the Active Communities outcome.
