Hampshire County Council Trading Standards
The role of Trading Standards is to promote a fair market in consumer goods and services. Their objective is to protect consumers and honest traders by ensuring that trade is carried out lawfully, fairly and safely.
Their work covers the following areas:
- Advice to businesses and consumers
- Safety and Standards
- Fair trading
- Food and Agriculture (Animal Health)
- Buy With Confidence Scheme
The Partnership works closely with Trading Standards officers in all areas of their business, specifically in relation to their No Cold Calling Zones initiative, scam awareness and under age sales operations.
