Hampshire County Council

Hampshire County Council (HCC) is one of the six statutory partners who have a duty to deliver on the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 and as a result are a member of the Winchester Community Safety Partnership.

As part of Hampshire County Council's commitment to building strong and safe communities, Accredited Community Safety Officers (ACSOs) are patrolling the streets to combat low level crime and anti-social behaviour.

The Partnership works closely with these officers who are directly employed by HCC. Hampshire is the first county council to directly employ its own police accredited community safety officers.
