Children and Young People Partnership

The Winchester District Children and Young Peoples’ Partnership has been disbanded following a decision by the Hampshire Children's’ Trust Board to restructure local partnership arrangements across the County. The restructure, which is ongoing, will see the Winchester District now being served by three Children and Young Peoples’ Partnerships, based around clusters of schools.

The first of the three new partnerships will be based in Winchester City and will include Henry Beaufort School, Kings School and Westgate School as well as their feeder schools. The two special schools, Shepherds down and Osborne, as well as Peter Symonds College and Sparsholt College are also members of this partnership.

The second new partnership will be based in Alresford and will include Perins School and its feeder schools.

Students at Swanmore College will be included in one of the two partnerships being developed across the Eastleigh Borough.

Each of the three new Partnerships serving the young people of the Winchester District will be working to achieve the following priorities:
1. Reduce the proportion of children living in poverty
2. Reduce teenage pregnancy
3. Improved educational attainment of vulnerable groups
4. Increase the number of young people in education or training
5. Increase the number of care leavers in education or training

The new structure is still in its early stages. This website will be updated with greater detail of the new Partnerships and their objectives in the coming months.
