Recent Successes

• Launch of the successful “City Walks” scheme, which won national accreditation, organized by Winchester City Council
• Ongoing development of multiple Older Persons' Forums in the District, including one in Winchester City Centre and one in the Meon Valley. 
• Creation of a project team to run a Village Agents Pilot Programme to bring local, face-to-face information to people living in two pilot sites in the District. 
• Successful Local Democracy programme called Bring Your Council to School which brought local councillors into secondary schools across the District to talk to young people about issues that impact them. 
• The building of four bespoke natural play sites across the District as part of the It's OK to Play programme and multiple successful play days and activity days at these sites. 
• Creation and distribution of information about Fuel Poverty for those coping with cold weather in the Winchester District.
