How to get involved with NEF

There is a whole range of ways in which you can get involved in looking after your local environment - from joining a local conservation group to starting a compost heap in your garden.

The links on the right hand side will take you to the websites of organisations working in the Winchester District which you can get involved with. They will also be able to give you the contact details of local conservation groups working for your local area.

If you are interested in doing your bit to enhance and maintain the biodiversity in the Winchester District, take a look at the Hampshire Biodiversity website to give you a few ideas.

Speak to your local parish council (if you live in a parished area in the District). They might be undertaking some projects to improve your local environment, or be able to put you in contact with other like minded people.

There are also several community funds which you can use to support any work you want to do to improve the natural environment in your area. See the links below for starters:
