What are we here for?
The Winchester District Transport Forum consists of HCC and WCC staff and representatives from Sustrans, WINACC, public transport operators, WACA, and other WDSP members and representative groups as appropriate.
The primary function of the working group is to share information on projects, develop partnership working opportunities and to secure resources to deliver projects as supported by the WDSP.
The Group will:
- Seek to identify transport issues in the Winchester District and identify and prioritise potential solutions.
- Respond to transport issues raised by the WDSP board.
- Contribute to transport indicators and monitoring.
- Contribute towards the developing and implementing of the Winchester Town Access Plan.
- Contribute towards the development and delivery of the Local Development Framework.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Hampshire Local Transport Plan as it relates to the Winchester District.
- Help to deliver the climate change programme for the Winchester District.
- Help to develop and implement measures in travel plans.
- Monitor progress against Community Strategy outcomes in relation to access and transport.
