Housing Forum 2010
Winchester Annual Housing Forum is organised by the City Council and WDSP and brings together a range of individuals and organisations interested and influential in the provision of housing and housing services across the District.
The 2010 Forum was held on Tuesday 30 November. The event focussed on the implications of the emerging polices of the Coalition Government, in particular the provision of new market and affordable housing and the implications of benefit changes for the private rented sector. The Forum included presentations and workshops.
Workshops included:
- Blueprint - workshop in housing needs
- Benefit Changes, the local Housing Alliance and the Private Sector
- Supporting local people in accessing high quality, affordable housing (planning for the next 3 years)
All the discussions will help inform the future of housing services across the district and help improve the housing conditions of 1000's of the areas people.
