Terms of Reference

The Inclusive Society Group was set up in 2007 to focus the work on the Winchester District Strategic Partnership (WDSP) in achieving the Inclusive Society outcome.

The group’s role is:

To take an overview of partnership work undertaken to deliver outcomes and report on this to the WDSP Executive and Board

To assist the solving of strategic issues which prevent or slow the achievement of the equality, diversity and inclusion outcomes

To monitor the achievement of key indicators for these outcomes as set out in the Community Strategy and report back on progress to the Executive Group

To support and enable the work of those thematic partnerships whose activities most directly contribute to the achievement of equality, diversity and inclusion
a) the BME Engagement Steering Group
b) Winchester Housing Board
and other forums which contribute to these areas of activity.

To ensure that issues which cut across the five WDSP Strategic Outcome Groups (SOGs) are addressed with particular regard to equality, diversity and inclusion

To inform the WDSP of emerging issues relating to equality, diversity and inclusion outcomes and to consider what strategic direction in the future will be needed in order to secure the best outcomes for the District
