- Map existing provision, good practice and funding sources.
- Provide local intelligence to the Strategic Area Review process.
Its Remit :
- Identify the lifelong learning priorities of the local community.
- Work collaboratively to address those priorities.
- Ensure quality assurance is central to all learning opportunities within the WDSP area and work towards continuous improvement.
- Provide a collaborative framework for the Strategic Area Review.
Membership
The membership will reflect the widest possible range of service providers, to include public, private, voluntary and community sector representation. It will involve representatives from agencies, organisations and the local community to ensure that all needs and views contribute to decision making.
The Group will nominate a member to Chair the Group and to represent the group and lifelong learning in the local area as a full member of the Steering Group of the WDSP.
Focus for 2007
The Forum’s focus for 2007 includes older learners (Feb), Black and Minority Ethnic communities (April) and family learning (October).
