About The Partnership
Partnership working has been recognised by central Government and by the partners as an important way of delivering public services to meet the community's needs. If a range of different organisations and agencies work together and pool their efforts, it is more likely that a real difference can be made and that public services can be delivered in a way that meets people's needs.
The Winchester District Strategic Partnership (WDSP) is a partnership of the major agencies in Winchester District - public, private and voluntary - who are working together to improve the quality of life for those who live, work and visit the area. This is also known as a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). One of its key roles is to create and deliver a Community Strategy that identifies the priority issues facing Winchester District and what the partnership can do to address them.
The WDSP consists of a Board made up of sixteen partners who represent different sectors. These Board members are supported by underpinning themed partnerships, networks and forums. You can find out more about these partnerships, networks and forums on this website.
