Winchester District Sport and Physical Activity Alliance

Physical Activity Volunteer Bank

A key objective of the Winchester District Sport and Physical Activity Strategy is to increase the number of coaches, officials and volunteers in the Winchester District. To help achieve this The Volunteer Centre, Winchester and Winchester City Council are working together to establish a physical activity volunteer bank.

The volunteer bank will enable local sports clubs and organisations to register their volunteering opportunities with The Volunteer Centre. Once registered volunteering opportunities will appear on the National Volunteering Database 'Do-it', where potential volunteers can be matches to the most suitable opportunities.

If you are a club or organisation that wants to become involved in this project simply complete the organisation registration form and volunteering opportunity form, downloadable below, and return to The Volunteer Centre, Winchester. Once a club or organisation is registered, potential volunteers can express an interest through the local volunteer centre. It is the individuals responsibility to make direct contact with the club or organisation. The Volunteer Centre cannot guarantee that if organisations promote their opportunities that volunteers will be found but finding volunteers is a difficult task and the more places that opportunities are advertised the better chance of finding volunteers.
