Rural Transport Grants

The Rural Transport Grant is an initiative from Winchester City Council designed to provide grants to local groups and organisations setting up rural transport schemes. During 2007/08, £25,000 was allocated towards local groups throughout the district which will help Winchester Area Community Action to develop a Southern Parishes minibus scheme and provide for a wheelchair adapted vehicle in Denmead, and the New Alresford Town trust to provide a new minibus for Alresford.

The grant is now available for 2008/09, for groups who want to set up new rural (community) transport schemes or for new or replacement vehicles.
