About this deal

Twisty, addictive, puzzling and bingeworthy, My Husband’s Killer is a psychological suspense spectacle not to be missed. With a clear focus on the impact of grief, loss, betrayal, the lines of friendship and shock thanks to the events highlighted in My Husband’s Killer, Marshall’s latest was very addictive. When a mother discovers that the nanny who framed her for child neglect is her ex-husband's new girlfriend, she goes on the run to prove her innocence and expose the real culprit.

Busby's Leah goes all Richard Kimble trying to accumulate evidence so the po-po can capture psycho nanny Valerie (a well cast Chelsey Reist). They don’t want to know what a monumental effort it is to get up every morning, exhausted from a tormented night lying awake, and put on a mask of happiness for my grieving children who mustn’t be allowed for a second to think that their mum is not OK. There was drama, humor, action, and Lifetime should air more movies like this to balance out the campy flicks. I look from one to the other of the dear faces of my oldest friends, seated around my kitchen table. Well plotted and well written with red herrings although as it was written from multiple POVs and in the past and present you were given hints, should you pick up on them. They sat with me at the meeting with the vicar, helping me plan the service, knowing what I wanted without having to ask.

Seven of us arrived at a villa on the Amalfi Coast, ready to enjoy a sun-soaked weekend with our oldest friends – and one new face. This is a slow burner, with a large cast of characters who are not particularly likeable or easy to keep track of. It has been twenty-five years since a local man raged through the small town of Hartstead, shooting eleven people dead at random. But also connecting the dots on people and often having re read a few bits to figure out who they are.As the book progresses It became clear that each one of the party had a secret which they are determined to hang onto and could provide a motive for murder and the more Liz digs the more comes to light culminating in a shocking climax.

The final 2 chapters gave unexpected twists which was needed after feeling a little let down by the author’s attempt to create suspense. Not ‘our’ house any more, unless you count the children who are in bed, exhausted after a day of seeing adults who are normally in full control of their emotions weeping and embracing. Overall another great book by Laura Marshall and with its fast pace and twists and turns you'll not be disappointed to read this.Sphere is home to some of the world's best-loved authors and books, ranging from Jenny Colgan and Carole Matthews to Mark Billingham, Val McDermid and even Gwyneth Paltrow. Originally I had mooted a non-religious ceremony but Andrew’s parents had objected, and as I didn’t have any strong feelings either way a church service seemed the right thing to do. There are a lot of novels of this type at the moment but I think Laura Marshall really pulls it off in this entertaining psychological thriller. I liked how he realized immediately when Valerie/Lisa lied and he was on board with his wife from that point.
