About this deal

Hiccup, The Viking Who Was Sick is an hilarious, heartwarming tale about a little boy facing his fears and getting to grips with the things he hates the most. But his biggest fear is having to go to sea, and with the inevitable first voyage fast approaching, Hiccup is very worried indeed. Stoick and Hiccup greet Old Wrinkly on the shore and all realize that yes, Vikings sometimes get scared, but they deal with it, which is what Bravery is. He advises Hiccup to find out if Vikings really don't get scared and to try and see that the sea is a dangerous place, but can be wonderful.

Simpatična pričica koja je svojevrsni prequel knjizi Kako izdresirati zmaja, u kojoj upoznajemo Štucavca dok je još bio mali Viking kojeg je bilo strah ploviti morem. I'm so glad I found this little story on YouTube before starting my journey with this series (which I just received in the mail today). This is a perfect picture book for all children aged between three and six who love Vikings and watching grown-ups come unstuck! Some may think that children's books are too small, simple, and menial to have an "Art," but that is just not true. Also the author of picture books, Cressida has won the Nestle Children's Book Prize 2006 and has been shortlisted for many others.

Unlike his dad, Stoick the Vast, Hiccup is tiny, thoughtful and polite and scared of almost everything - especially of going to sea for the very first time. The other Viking children mock him all the time, and won't let him join in with their rough-and-tumble games because they know he is frightened of everything from spiders to thunder.

It was later published in the United States in 2014 under the title How to Be a Viking, by Little, Brown and Company. She was convinced that there were dragons living on this island, and has been fascinated by dragons ever since. Beautiful, washed illustrations capture the emotion and adventure of the high seas with a softness that will appeal to children and parents, while the bold text tells a remarkable tale that will capture imaginations and drive young readers wild with delight.
