About this deal

All alarms are calibrated and rigorously tested in-house and are third party tested to receive the BSI Kitemark certification to provide peace of mind. Also, the new range is compliant with the revised European Standard EN 50291-1:2018 to ensure maximum protection. FA3322X4: Carbon Monoxide Alarm with digital display and 10 year battery Under the extended Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations 2015, from October 1st 2022, a carbon monoxide alarm will be required in all rooms where there is a fixed combustion appliance – such as gas boilers or gas fires – once the compliance date is announced. However, gas cookers are excluded from the updated regulation. Battery powered carbon monoxide alarms can typically be installed wall-mounted or left free-standing on flat, level surface. The FA6813-EU offers electrochemical sensing technology and a clear loud alarm to ensure trusted carbon monoxide (CO) detection for your home. This alarm also features our new Crescendo Test, which helps to protect your hearing by allowing you to choose the volume level of the test alarm. Simply hold down the test button and the alarm will move through the increasing volume levels (similar to a rising ‘crescendo’) until you find the alert sound level you are comfortable with. Tenants, do you know your rights as a renter when it comes to CO alarms in your home? The Government announced its response to a consultation on the use of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in domestic properties.

If your FireAngel carbon monoxide alarm is new and the test button is not working, try removing the isolation pin. Once removed, wait for at least 1 minute for alarm to initiate. If the alarm now sounds once test button is pressed your alarm is working correctly. If it still does not sound, please get in touch with our Customer Support team. In living spaces: they should be positioned close to where the occupant's head is likely to be most of the time – e.g., on your bedside table. Near an appliance: they should be placed within 1 to 3 metres horizontally from the appliance and between the height of the appliance to 150mm below the ceiling – i.e., not above a stove where it would be in the path of steam or fumes. The alarm features the latest CO sensing technology and can be used to replace end-of-life FireAngel CO-9X alarms. Fitted with a sealed, tamper proof battery that will last the lifetime of the alarm. The sensors within the unit will deteriorate after 10 years, so to ensure you’re protected we recommend you replace the unit after this time.

Key Product Features

With low level CO monitoring, a pre-alarm warning to open windows helps reduce the risk of CO poisoning and prevents build-up of dangerous CO levels. If a room is not ventilated and ppm levels continue to increase, the alarm will activate. An audible Carbon Monoxide detector is the only way to be alerted to a carbon monoxide leak; it can’t be smelt, tasted or seen so it’s impossible for human senses to detect. If you have had your FireAngel carbon monoxide alarm for a few years but it is still within warranty, and the isolation pin has been removed, please get in touch with our Customer Support team. If it is not within warranty, please replace your alarm as soon as possible. Why is my FireAngel CO alarm beeping? Known as the ‘ Silent Killer’, CO occurs when fuels burn incompletely, with common sources being boilers, gas fires and hobs and solid fuel burners. However, carbon monoxide can also pass through walls, so you would also be at risk if a neighbouring property had a leak.

Combined smoke & CO alarms or mains-powered CO alarms are typically installed on the ceiling and should be at least 30cm away from any wall, light fitting, or other obstruction. FireAngel’s new range of carbon monoxide alarms use intelligent sensing technology for a rapid reaction to rising levels of CO. Also note that carbon monoxide has been proven to spread into neighbouring properties through open windows and, in semi-detached or terrace houses, through loft spaces. If your property has an attached garage with a connecting door through to the house, it is recommended to fit a CO alarm inside the house leading from that doorway. The 7 year sealed battery powered FireAngel CO-9X carbon monoxide alarm features clear LED indicators for power, fault or alarm status and a large test/reset button for ease of testing the device. The CO detector can be wall mounted for home use, or can be left free standing, making it a suitable portable detector to take on holiday.

Customer Reviews

Carbon monoxide is a highly poisonous gas, caused by fuel not burning properly. It cannot be seen, smelt or tasted by the human senses and is only detectable through a CO alarm. Our FA3322X4 Carbon Monoxide Alarm with digital display comes with a sealed, tamper proof battery that will last the lifetime of the alarm. The sensors within the unit will deteriorate after 10 years, so to ensure you’re protected we recommend you replace the unit after this time. To activate your CO alarm, pull the disabling tab out of the alarm and wait up to 1 minute for the green LED to flash to confirm the alarm is active. After 1 minute, press the test button to hear the alarm sound. Please note, the alarm will not sound before the 1 minute activation period is complete. CO alarms and rental properties
