It seemed to take me a while to read, but it was becasiw I felt like I wanted to take everything in, rather than wanting to rush to the end like I do in my normal thriller books. While I can understand the comparisons to Sally Rooney – the book did have a very Normal People vibe to it – I definitely could appreciate the story in its own right. Born and raised in England, Jodie spent a decade as a photographer before returning to her first love of writing. She lives in Kent with her husband and three sons.
