The Pingu Collection series has been rereleased several times with a different cover. Also, each initial release in this Collection series features an extra bonus episode of the series not included with the individual 4-episode volume releases. This special is about twenty-five minutes long, but a 5-minute version exists with completely new footage; considering a number of differences with the final special, this was most likely a pitch pilot produced to get the feature greenlit.
