About this deal

General Jacques Du Marquis is the French general of the Grande Armée who wants to take over the fairy tale world. He appeared as the central antagonist in The Grimm Warning but died because of the Masked Man controlling a dragon. Colfer has said he had the inspiration for the character from all the corrupt people he has met in his life. [9] Hagatha was a witch who practiced dark magic, who took advantage of Ezmia the Enchantress. She was killed when she fell into the Thornbush Pit. It's hard not to love a book dedicated to the Glee star's grandmother...Colfer gets off many good lines [and] the nifty ending ties the plot's multiple strands up while leaving room for further fairy tale adventures."

When the twins’ grandmother gives them a treasured fairy-tale book, they have no idea they’re about to enter a land beyond all imagining: the Land of Stories, where fairy tales are real. The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell is the first children's fiction novel in The Land of Stories series written by Chris Colfer. The book was first published on July 17, 2012 by the publishing company Little, Brown and Company (a division of Hachette Book Group, Inc.), New York. Alex and Conner are caught and enslaved by a troll and a goblin and brought to there territory. Over there, they meet The Travelling Tradesman mentioned in the journal. The twins manage to escape with the help of Trollbella, daughter of the Troll King, in exchange for a kiss from Conner. They decide to help the other slaves escape as well. The territory falls apart, and through the mess, the twins find one of the items for the spell (the Troll & Goblin Crown). However, the twins know time is running out. They have the Evil Queen chasing after them, and she wants the items for the wishing spell as well. The wishing spell can only be used once, so will they ever get home?Emmerich Himmelsbach is a boy from Hohenschwangau, Germany, and approximately ten years old. He first appears in A Grimm Warning. He helps Conner and Bree get into Neuschwanstein castle and ends up joining Conner on his adventure to save the Land of Stories. In Beyond the Kingdoms, he turns out to be the son of Bo Peep and Lloyd Bailey, the Masked Man and the twins' uncle, therefore making Emmerich the twins' cousin. King Arthur is the king of Camelot and love interest of Alex Bailey in Beyond the Kingdoms but they have to end their relationship because Alex had to stop the Masked Man. She convinces him to fulfill his destiny. However, he always retains a romantic longing for Alex Ezmia, The Enchantress was cursed by the witches to hate everyone and tried to destroy the world. This same curse was placed on Alex Bailey in the 5th book. Ezmia was once a small girl living in the Otherworld in misery following the death of her parents and the destruction of her village. She was to be killed by ruthless soldiers, but in an act of self-defence killed them instead. The Fairy Godmother, who had secretly watched this, took Ezmia under her wing as an apprentice. The Fairy Godmother even chose her as the next Fairy Godmother. Sadly, bitterness over men who failed her as well as what she claimed was the other fairies' jealousy caused her to renounce her title and turned to Dark Magic. She is defeated by Alex Bailey. It is later revealed, however, that it was the witches who cast a spell on her to turn to rage. In the past, more specifically 2015, Colfer had hinted that he wanted unknown actors for the parts of Alex and Conner Bailey, however a cast was never formed in 2017 or in later years. [2]

The Wishing Spell is a cancelled live-action adaption of The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell [1] formerly in production at 20th Century Fox and 21 Laps Entertainment. The Wishing Spell follows the journey of Alex and Conner Bailey after they plummet through their grandmother's storybook into another dimension where all the infamous fairy-tale characters reside. Rumpelstiltskin is the secondary antagonist of the second book. He is a brother of the Seven Dwarves and is employed by Ezmia. He sacrifices himself at the end of the book, in hope of doing something good. The story begins with a mysterious figure in a cloak walking down the stairs of a prison, who turns out to be Snow White. Now Queen, she is visiting her stepmother known as the Evil Queen in the dungeons. Snow White tries to find the real reason behind her stepmother's actions, not believing somebody could just be pure evil. At first, the Evil Queen refuses to tell Snow White anything, not wanting sympathy. As the young queen insists, the Evil Queen agrees to tell her story. After a dramatic change of the situation, the twins and their friends find shelter in Queen Snow White's castle where they destroy the saber from the deepest sea as promised. An invitation from Cinderella to celebrate the birth of her child gives them the opportunity to return her glass slipper to her and the spindle to Sleeping Beauty. In the palace, they encounter the Fairy Godmother, who, they find out is in fact their grandmother. Furthermore she tells the twins that they have been following their own father's journal the whole time, and that they both have fairy blood in them, which is why the spell could be activated with the use of Alex's tear. They also hear from Sir Lampton that he helped them on their quest by putting the glass slipper in Alex's bag. Meanwhile, an even more dangerous plan is brewing—one that could change the fates of both the fairy-tale world and the Otherworld forever.

The Book Huggers are a group of intelligent girls who are on to Alex and Conner. Their names are Mindy McClowsky, Cindy Strutherbergers, Lindy Lenkins and Wendy Takahashi. Originally, they ran the book club at their school. But after Alex and Conner's suspicious disappearance, they abandon it in favor of a conspiracy club. In the last book, they followed Conner and his friends. When the Book Huggers find them trapped in the library, they interrogate Conner until he admits what has been going on in the last few years and apologises, only then they set Conner and his friends free. In one of the last chapters, it is mentioned that they are the Sister Grimm's new recruits. Charcoaline, Rat Mary, Serpentine, and Tarantulene are witches of the Witches' Brew. They are pawns of Ezmia, the Snow Queen and the Sea Witch. They were all killed in Worlds Collide. Captain Hook is the main antagonist from "Peter Pan" where Alex and Conner Bailey chase the Masked Man as well. Captain Hook briefly was recruited by the Masked Man before he defected from the Masked Man. His sworn enemy is Peter Pan and his right-hand-man is Mr. Smee. Meanwhile the Evil Queen got the wolf Malumclaw involved in trying to find the twins and bring them to her.
