You need to have a natural tooth on each side of the Instant Smile Temporary Tooth for it to hold in place. The replacement tooth attaches to the neighboring teeth. The tooth kit comes with impression beads that you soften in hot water, and they form around your neighboring teeth. You can fit the replacement tooth so that you can pop it out anytime you want, or if you get a really secure fit, you can loosen it with hot water and a rag, the hot water softens the beads again and the tooth will come right out. I had my doubts - very bad dentition; multiple missing and broken teeth. I was amazed how easy they were to put in, and my kids thought I got dentures or implants! Read the directions on how to make your initial imprints VERY carefully. Not hard, just need to follow directions exactly. I am having a tooth extracted by the dentist. Do the fitting beads attach the replacement tooth to the gum or to the adjacent teeth? Is the replacement tooth easy to remove if I decide I don’t want to use it? No need to shape beads into a fake tooth. Our patented kit includes customizable teeth for a realistic look and feel. A tip I want to share, use less beads. It says to use 10-15 beads, I'd say just use 10. And don't heat up the water too much. Ease the beads in on a spoon and with the middle of the bead still white, take out the beads and mold into a little ball. Then put that ball in the gap. Put the tooth you want on the ball of plastic beads once it's been melted and use your fingers and tongue to mold it better. Once it fits, go ahead and melt again just to get a better mold.
